Why Never to Wait on a Lifting Acoustic Bridge
When an acoustic bridge begins lifting at the back edge, the string tension levers the front edge downward into the soundboard, creating a belly bulge behind the bridge and a depression in front of it. Left unchecked, the bridge can suddenly tear free, ripping away precious spruce top fibers. Catching it early saves the soundboard and reduces repair cost significantly.
