Our Founding Mission

Colorado Guitar Tech was established with a singular, unwavering objective: to become your partner in your musical endeavors by keeping your instruments in their optimum playable condition.

Too many guitarists struggle against poorly set up instruments — battling high action that cramps hands, fret buzz that stifles dynamics, and seasonal changes that leave necks twisted. Often, big-box retail repair counters charge exorbitant fees, impose weeks of waiting time, or treat clients like order numbers.

We operate differently. We are an independent, technician-owned lutherie bench. When you bring your guitar to us, you speak directly with the technician who will perform the work. We take the time to observe how you hold your instrument, listen to your concerns, and calibrate your instrument to match your unique musical voice.

Saving You Money Without Compromising Quality

As your partner, we will always search for practical ways to save you money without compromising the quality, longevity, or safety of our service. If a guitar only needs a careful truss rod adjustment and a slight nut slot file, we will never push an expensive fret level or refret. If a guitar component can be reliably repaired rather than replaced, we present all viable options with full transparency.

The Front Range Workshop Environment

Our shop in Colorado Springs is maintained within a strict 42%–48% relative humidity zone year-round. This ensures that any fret leveling, wood gluing, crack cleating, or structural brace repairs happen under ideal equilibrium moisture content (EMC).

We take immense pride in supporting the vibrant Colorado music community — from singer-songwriters in Manitou Springs and rock players along Tejon Street to praise & worship musicians in Briargate and touring acts traversing I-25.
